• There has never been a time, until very recently, when the top dog of our pack wasn’t a Border Collie. When we first started, Bounce had the position. When he moved away, Fox moved up the ranks.

• Always waiting his turn was Angus, who became top dog when Fox had to reduce his walks due to arthritis. Angus has been a great top dog, always caring about everyone in the pack, including us humans! His relieved smile at his back gate when we arrived was always a highlight of each day.

• Sadly Angus has also succumbed to the dreaded arthritis, so we don’t see too much of him anymore. He does still come to stay occasionally, and there is nothing sweeter than his obsession with our cat, Socks. He doesn’t want to hurt him, he wants to be loved or even just granted a special audience. He watches and watches and …
