• Dixie is a girl who knows her own mind.

• This can prove a slight difficulty on walks when that mind suggests she should sniff every blade of grass in the park, no matter how long the pack might have to wait for her.

• She is the only dog we know for whom fight and flight can come unpredictably at equal intensity.

• One minute you worry that her timid nature might cause her to be in danger when a larger, unknown dog approaches for a bit of a sniff, next minute she’s giving them the rounds of the kitchen and they’re scurrying off, tail firmly planted between legs. Gotta love her!
